41. Morning Pages (kind of)

Do you write Morning Pages?

I do, and I love them. Even though for me they are really more “kind of” – I do them in all times of the day, sometimes writing little by little, adding pieces through the day, and I break many other rules, too, just doing what’s mine.

For me it’s more a possibility to speak with myself, with the Inner Being’s presence. It’s my chance to be me, and be loved in it.

When I speak with myself in my head, it’s harder to develop a thought, and to be more deliberate in choosing it.

In writing my Morning Pages, it’s easier for me to choose the thoughts that serve me. Empowering, enlightening, relieving thoughts.

And just like Julia Cameron said in [amazon_link id=”B006H19H3M” target=”_blank” ]The Artist’s Way[/amazon_link], when I’m writing my MP, I can feel the presence of some .. higher power. It’s a trusted space I can be in.

I can say there whatever comes to my mind, and I feel being listened to. I feel deep, all-accepting, all-embracing friendship.

I think, what I get from this process, is actually what we all want from someone close to us – to be wholly with us and accept, embrace, respect and adore us fully.

It’s also about expressing myself, letting some inner voice be heard.

I usually do them in writing, but I got inspired to have an alternative online, too: this way I can fill them quickly when I’m at my computer, and I can do some free writing (free typing :)) when writing the book, and I can send them to my Evernote email address and have them easily available, archived, later: sometimes (many times) delicious ideas come in them.

But actually, I’m just thinking aloud now about some uses: the truth is, I was pushed (more felt like forced, with this insisting urge inside) to add this page about MP, this inspiration went a bit against my logic, but when it speaks, I listen. :)
